How to disconnect and delete your data
Last updated 2026-10-20.
Sociography stores very little, and you can remove it in any of the ways below. You do not need an account on this website, because it has none.
1. Disconnect on the platform (immediate)
Removing the app from your account on the platform stops all access at once, whatever the tool still has. Menu names change from time to time; look for the list of apps or integrations connected to your account.
- Facebook and Instagram: in Facebook, open Settings, then "Business integrations" (also called "Apps and websites"), find Sociography and choose Remove. Instagram accounts connected through a Page are removed the same way.
- TikTok: in the TikTok app, open Settings and privacy, then Security and permissions, then "Apps and services" (or "Manage app permissions"), find Sociography and choose Remove or Disconnect.
2. Ask the operator to delete what the tool holds
Email support@usesnout.com with the platform and the name or ID of the account (for example the Page name or @username). Please do not send passwords or tokens. The operator will:
- delete the stored access token from the Keychain and remove the account record from the database (an account that has publishing history is kept in a disabled state so the history stays consistent, with the token already deleted; ask for the history to be deleted too if you want it removed);
- delete posts, captions and media prepared for that account on request;
- confirm to you by email, normally within 30 days.
What remains
- Posts that were already published stay on the platform until you delete them there. The tool cannot delete them for you.
- Local database backups contain the account's name and identifier but no tokens; they are replaced automatically as newer backups are made, and only the newest 14 are kept.
- Platforms keep their own records of the authorisation under their own policies.
